Tokeland Marina and RV Park

The Tokeland Marina and RV Park, is located in the unincorporated community of Tokeland at the north of Willapa Bay.  Tokeland is primarily a residential community with a population of 400.  Tokeland is also the site of the Shoalwater Bay Indian Reservation, which is home to approximately 70 tribal members.  The tribe owns and operates a small casino, convenience store, restaurant and health clinic. The Tokeland marina offers both recreational and commercial moorage.  The Port facilities are on 40 acres and include two seafood servicing buildings, a light industrial building leased to Ambrosia Technologies, a public fishing pier, a high dock, and RV Park and boat ramp.  A fish processing plant is located blocks away from the main Port dock. Port dock facilities provide local fishing and aquaculture industries access between land and water. A new Seafood market will open soon.

Tokeland Marina RV Park is OPEN! 45 RV hook ups and tent spots available. Check in 12 p.m. Check out 11:00 a.m.

Dredging Issues

The Tokeland marina and entrance channel experience significant sedimentation.  The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has in the past dredged the entrance channel and the Port has “piggy backed” on their permitting and dredging contracts to remove sediments within the boat basin.

Approximately 15,000 cy of sediment are removed from the channel and 40,000 cy removed from the boat basin on a 4 to 5 year cycle.  As in Bay Center, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has not been funded to continue their small ports dredging program.  The Port of Willapa Harbor has aquired a hydraulic suction dredge and has launched a maintenance dredging program in Tokeland.

Opportunity for New Development

There is opportunity for the commercial development of Port properties surrounding the marina.  Several large upland lots are adjacent to the Port dock to the southwest.  This property has excellent views of the marina and Willapa Bay.  The marina area at Tokeland is unique and underdeveloped.

Recreational Facilities/Opportunities

Tokeland has increasingly becoming a tourism-oriented community.  The Tokeland peninsula offers several well-known destinations such as The Tokeland Hotel, The Shoalwater Bay (tribal) Casino and the marina. At the marina fish buyers purchase from the dock. With the access to the Pacific Ocean, Tokeland is a traditional commercial fishing facility. The marina offers a boat ramp, moorage area, a public fishing pier as well as spectacular views and birdwatching.
